Spotify accounts and playlist ownership, explained
Understand the difference between your artist profile, listener account and Amplune’s company playlist profile.
Three things that sound similar
A Spotify artist profile presents released music. Spotify for Artists provides verified artist tools and analytics. A regular Spotify user profile owns ordinary playlists. These accounts can be related, but they are not the same thing.
Amplune’s playlist workflow does not require access to any of them. A public track or artist URL is enough to create a draft concept.
Who owns a Amplune playlist
When Amplune approves and publishes a concept, the playlist belongs to a Amplune-controlled Spotify user profile. Amplune is responsible for its title, artwork, track selection and maintenance.
The artist who suggested the source release does not receive access to that company account. This keeps account security and editorial responsibility clear.
Why we do not request your Spotify login
A Spotify connection is only necessary when software must act inside a user’s private account. Because Amplune publishes from its own profile, artists do not need to authorize playlist-management permissions.
You continue signing into Amplune through its normal account system. Spotify remains a music destination, not the key to your Amplune account.
What publication does not mean
Publication does not mean Spotify endorses Amplune or the artist. It also does not guarantee discovery, streams, saves, followers or editorial consideration from Spotify itself.
Never pay anyone for guaranteed playlist placement or artificial listening activity. Legitimate promotion creates opportunities for real listeners to choose the music.
